Jeep has just announced that the legendary Trailhawk trim will return to the next-generation Cherokee lineup for 2027.
This may not mean much to most people, but for adventure enthusiasts and off-road driving fans, the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk has always been a top choice.
The Best Is Yet to Come
Very little is known so far about this new Trailhawk variant of the next-generation Jeep Cherokee. In fact, the American automaker has only released a single image on its official page. Even though only part of the vehicle is visible, the photo is still quite revealing.
The first thing that stands out is the red tow hooks, but it also appears to showcase what could be a new sand-colored paint option.
Once a Trailhawk, Always a Trailhawk
As its name suggests, the Trailhawk trim has always been designed with off-road capability in mind, and it is far more than just an appearance package. I still remember a time when I worked at a car dealership and we had to move vehicles following a massive snowstorm. It took several people pushing and even a tractor to free most of the pickup trucks from the snowbanks. Meanwhile, I climbed into a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk that was heavily buried in snow as well. I engaged the low-speed off-road driving mode, and it drove out on the first attempt without any assistance. Needless to say, the American SUV earned my admiration for life that day.
We will learn more about the new Trailhawk version of the Jeep Cherokee in the months ahead. In any case, it is a model we are eagerly looking forward to.
